Lights, lights and more lights at Enchantment in the Park | Washington County News

WEST BEND — The Enchantment in the Park holiday lights event continued this past weekend at Regner Park. People of all ages came dressed in layers to brave the cold temperature and new fallen snow on Saturday evening.

The event featured horse carriage rides, roaring fires, roasting marshmallows, dancing to music, snow angels, Santa and Mrs. Claus and, of course, lights. Attendees have the choice of driving or walking through the park to see the many setups going around the theme “Christmas Through the Ages.”

At the center of the park is where all the activities, including the arts and crafts, food and visits with Santa were taking place. Families lined up to drop a letter to Santa in the huge mailbox then they went on their way to see Santa to tell him what they wanted for Christmas. After that they were able to enjoy hot chocolate and work on arts and crafts.

People driving through were able to drop off a food donation which was being collected for the Washington County Food Pantries.

The Enchantment in the Park started back in 2009 by the 4 Rotary Clubs of Washington County. The event continues nightly through Dec. 24.
