Stan Lee Talks His Movie Iron Man 2 Cameo!

Recently Collider posted a video interview that they conducted with legendary comic book maven Stan Lee!..

During the interview Lee gave away such information as who he is going to play in “Iron Man 2“. He also talked about his dealings with Kenneth Branagh and who he might play his Thor film.

Iron Man 2 stars Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Jon Favreau, Mickey Rourke, Sam Rockwell, Samuel L. Jackson and Scarlett Johansson.

It comes to theaters May 7, 2010.

Sexy S. Johansson to Auction Off Iron Man 2 Premiere Tickets

If you want to go to one of the hottest premieres of next summer, and want to help out a worthy cause at the same time, sexy blonde “Scarlett Johansson” has your ticket. People is reporting that Iron Man 2 actress Scarlett Johansson will be auctioning off two tickets to the Iron Man 2 premiere, along with a meet-and-greet with Johansson herself.

All of the proceeds from this auction will go to benefit OxFam America, an organization that seeks long-term solutions for poverty and hunger in America. The auction will begin on Thursday, September 17 at 10 PM ET at eBay.com/OxFam and will run through September 24.

The winning bidder and a guest will receive tickets to the Los Angeles premiere and will also receive a complementary session at Cristophe Salon in Beverly Hills to get ready for the big night.

Iron Man 2 footage shown at this year’s Comic-Con has made it’s way all over the web this weekend. The five-minute clip runs through a number of scenes, including a meeting between Stark and Fury, a congressional hearing questioning Stark’s possession of the suit and an action montage where we get our first looks at Whiplash, Black Widow and even War Machine in action. Don’t delay, get your very first look at the upcoming film below!

Now that “Tony Stark” has gone public with his alter-ego “Iron Man 2” – there is no telling what evil force will come forward to battle the invincible “Iron Man!”

Reports say that Rourke would play a tattooed Russian heavy named Ivan who becomes a man with deadly, technologically enhanced coils. While another source adds that Rourke would play the Crimson Dynamo. “He’s considered to be an evil version of “Iron Man” because he battles the superhero in a nuclear-powered suit of armor.”

Rockwell would play Justin Hammer, a multibillionaire businessman and a rival of industrialist Tony Stark, AKA Iron Man, being played by a returning Robert Downey Jr.

Iron Man 2 is in theaters May 7th, 2010 and stars Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Jon Favreau, Mickey Rourke, Sam Rockwell, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, Garry Shandling and John Slattery.

2 New Movie Iron Man 2 Images Reveale

Marvel has revealed two new images from their new blockbuster sequel “Iron Man 2“, which recently wrapped filming and is set for a May 7, 2010 release. Iron Man 2: New Details and Photo

Our lucky co-horts over at “Superhero Hype” have posted a brand new set visit report today from the set of Marvel Studios’ upcoming sequel Iron Man 2, which recently blew the soiled pants off of Comic-Con attendees. In the report we not only get a brand new photo from the film (seen above), we also get some new details about what is happening in the world and the workshop of Tony Stark, played by Robert Downey Jr.

Among the details is that Tony’s workshop has been expanded with a completely holographic floor. He has also built a new hall of armor which showcases his original Mark I armor, as well as his tattered Mark III armor from the first film’s final battle. Also there is his new armor, an update, streamlined version of the Mark III. Notably absent is the silver Mark II armor, which has mysteriously gone missing by the time this scene happens about mid-way through the film. I think we can all guess where that might’ve gone.

While on set, SHH also found out that the second film dives deeper into the relationship between Tony Stark and his late father, who is played by John Slattery. According to Ryan Rotten’s report:

“Favreau notes to us that this story picks up six months later and while he’s remaining mum on the plot – which is said to have themes of an energy crisis of sorts – Howard Stark (actor John Slattery) plays a large part in it. “He’s definitely a presence as Robert delves into his past and explores the relationship with his dad,” says the director. “He’s definitely got daddy issues on some level. So, we explore the way his life’s been changed by saying that he’s Iron Man.”

He also notes that within Tony’s workshop there is a blueprint for Captain America’ shield as well as maps of Antarctica. A savvy onlooker might note that this could be yet another tie-in to Captain America: The First Avenger and The Avengers, which are scheduled for release in 2011 and 2012 respectively. It is safe to assume that  Iron Man 2 will have plenty of tie-ins to other Marvel properties, as those seemed to go over well with the first film.

The set visit report also gives some details about how Ivan Vanko, aka Whiplash (Mickey Rourke), and Justin Hammer (Sam Rockwell) relate to Tony Stark and his new direction with Stark Enterprises. Apparently they are all somehow connected in ways that aren’t clear in the beginning. Beyond that, director Jon Favreau has been keeping a tight lid on the plot. One thing that the set visitors did see, though, was a series of crates that said PROJECT: PEGASUS. Geeks of comics will note that this is in reference to the “Potential Energy Group/Alternate Sources/United States” – a center for scientific study that appeared in various Marvel titles. Make of that what you will.

SDCC 2009: Iron Man 2 Panel

3:57- I’m ready for this panel to go, music is already starting to blast out of the speakers and everyone is horribly anxious. AC/DC is always great to listen to.

3:58-People are all over the floor right now, blocking the pathway and nobody cares. I think we’ve reached past capacity but nobody cares.

3:59- I hope they get their patooties out really soon, I’d hate for this panel out of all panels to start up late along with many many upset/anxious fans.

4:00- Everyone is up at this point (almost) and I wonder who exactly will show up other than the awesome Downey Jr and Farveau.

4:02- The suspense is killing some people next to me, not literally of course.

4:03- They’re starting to put the name tags up. Kevin Feige, Jon Farveau, Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johansson and Sam Rockwell.

Olivia Munn Lands an ‘Iron Man 2′ Role

The host of a popular G4 show is about to attack a role in a new sequel. According to Variety, “Olivia Munn”, the host of G4’s Attack of the Show, has landed a role in Iron Man 2.

It wasn’t specified what role she’ll be playing in the film, but the trade was also reporting that she has also scored a role in the upcoming comedy Date Night, which stars “Steve Carrell” and Tina Fey.

Aside from her Attack of the Show hosting duties, Munn will also be seen next in the upcoming Broken Lizard comedy The Slammin’ Salmon.
