Actress, philanthropist. Born on August 7, 1975, in rural Benoni, South Africa, to co-owners of a road construction company, Charles and Gerda. The Afrikaans-speaking family lived on a working farm outside of Johannesburg, and although Charlize Theron’s childhood chores included tending livestock, her passion for dance became evident early on. To foster her artistic leanings, Theron began ballet lessons at age six. Her parents encouraged her burgeoning talent, and by age 12, she was sent to a Johannesburg boarding school to study dance.
The Theron household was an unhappy one, and as Charles struggled with alcoholism, he became physically abusive. In 1991, when Theron was 15, her father violently attacked her and her mother. Theron watched as Gerda shot and killed Charles; the murder was deemed an act of self-defense, and Gerda was never charged with a crime. In the wake of the death, Gerda assumed ownership of the company, and Theron concocted the long-standing story that her father had been the victim of a lethal car accident.

The Oscar-winning blonde actress “Charlize Theron” took part in the OneXOne charity event in San Francisco, where she took the stage to auction off a two-week trip to her native South Africa to watch soccer’s World Cup in summer 2010.
While the trip itself was a nice prize, the winning bidder also received other extra item for her $140,000 donation – a liplock with the Oscar winner.
And the woman certainly got her money’s worth — the two embraced and kissed onstage for nearly 25 seconds.
Charlize Theron was at the event to help raise money for the “Charlize Theron” African Outreach Project, which is teaming with the OneXOne Foundation to bring soccer fields and clean water to the children of South Africa by 2010, which is when the World Cup will be hosted there.

Will Smith and Charlize Theron Are Back For Hancock 2

According to /Film today director “Peter Berg” has stated that Will Smith and “Charlize Theron“ are confirmed to return in the upcoming Hancock sequel..
For those that need a refresher, Hancock is about an alcoholic superhero (Smith) who is hated by everyone in LA, ill stop there. If you are so inclined (you shouldn’t be) go rent the movie. Atleast half of this news comes as no surprise. In an interview with MTV Theron stated when asked if she would return “with those guys? If everybody’s on board? Yeah!” The film is currently being written by Adam Fierro and Glen Mazzara, according to Berg regarding the plot “there might be another god out there somewhere.” Does this mean another big name addition to the cast? There is still no word if the third wheel of Jason Bateman is confirmed to return as well.
First of let me ask, why?! I didn’t like the first film (and I tend to appreciate most films on some level). So the idea of a sequel also bothers me. Even when it was first announced I had hopes it wouldn’t happen as long as at least Smith stayed away. It doesn’t surprise me however, the original film grossed over $620,000,000 at the box office (mostly due to Will Smith’s involvement of course), so the idea that the studio would want a sequel ASAP shouldn’t shock anyone.
Are you looking forward to Hancock 2?
